iWOL is a Wake-on-LAN application that allows you to wake up a computer via the internet or using an internal network (LAN Broadcast).
One useful use is to add VNC to your computer and wake up your computer using this application.

Make sure you can wake your computer from the internet by using one of the free programs at http://www.depicus.com/wake-on-lan before using this App.
Also Wake-on-LAN does not work if your PC/Mac is connected using a Wireless connection, it only works via a Ethernet cable connection!
REQUIREMENTS
In order for this to work via the internet your router needs to be able to foward the magic packet from a port (e.g. 7 UDP) to the LAN IP of the computer you want to wake up.
Also it only works using an ethernet cable, it will NOT work through a wireless card on the computer you want to wake up!
