DONPERREAULT I disagree with the two previous posts regarding iBank being slow. I have been using iBank 3 since they started the beta early last year and find iBank 3 is not slow at all. I also track 12 different accounts and my portfolio, so I have hundreds of transactions. I still wish that the developers would provide separate column for Withdrawals and deposits, would make entering data via the keyboard simpler. Overall iBank 3 is Awesome! And I certainly think that it is the best alternative to Quicken. (Version 3.4)

BOBBYDMARRIOTT I am going to echo RJMaritas comments that I am surprised by the negative comments. I spent yesterday finally making the jump from Quicken to iBank. I have been using Quicken of the Windows or XP variety for >10 years. The mac version is now dated and buggy. iBank's interface is fresh and simple, and allows you to see in a quick summary at start-up the state of your financial house. The one warning I would give is that if you are transferring extensive investment files, it may be wise to create separate QIFs for your bank/loan/credit card accounts, which import nicely and then do your investment accounts individually. The problems I experienced with duplicate transactions and split up entries had more to do with Quicken for Mac's poor investment tracking module rather than a problem with iBank. The important thing is that this is a developer that is responding to user comments, and is routinely upgrading the software. Quicken just sent many Beta tester applicants letters today saying that they don't want any more testers and that their new software will be out next summer at best. If you are tired of Quicken, using a Mac, then I recommend giving iBank a try. (Version 3.3.2)

DONPERREAULT My apologies to IGG for not updating Macupdate after they responded to my email. I have been using iBank since the beginning of the year and believe that IGG has done a great job at addressing many of iBank 3 problems. iBank 3 is not as feature rich as Quicken but certainly makes a great alternative. I still wishing for separate columns for deposits and withdrawals and a more intuitive way to enter data. Also, the IGG Software updates iBank regularly, unlike Intuit. (Version 3.3.1)

RJMORITA There seems to be a lot of negative comments. I switched from Quicken to iBank in July (of 2008) and have been very pleased with it so far. I just got tired of Quicken's ancient interface. I will give iBank four out of five stars. (Version 3.3.2)

WILPON Surprisingly good replacement for Quicken. Once you get used to how to organize reporting, this become a great replacement app. (Version 3.5.2)

EMEL TRAW I was a happy iBank 2 user for a while but over time it just got slower and slower and the pie charts started acting very flaky. iBank 3 had come out so I looked around online to see what people thought and was very disappointed to see people saying that it was just as slow as iBank 2. I switched to Moneydance and am very happy with it except that I miss iBank's clean look. iBank had a lot of promise. I hope the developers will focus more in the future on making the basic functionality really great instead of gimmicky features like coverflow that seem more about winning Apple design awards than making it better for users. MFA This crashes all the time, it's driving me crazy. Mostly I think the software... it's no MS Money, but it does the basics... but why does it continually crash? (Version 3.3.2)

GRYPHONENT Beautiful design... but, as all its predecessors, littered with bugs that render this application for serious accounting totally useless. Just tested the latest version and within minutes I found five serious calculation errors and two major flaws in terms of usage. (Version 3.2.1)

PKGUY323 I tried the Demo of iBank3 and while the interface seems to be the less confusing of the Mac-based financial apps, it crashed A-LOT on my OS X 10.5.4. There needs to be an overhaul and "regression" back to the iBank 2.5 and start back slowly to 3.0. Don't overdo the "flashy" pieces...give it more functionality instead. Quicken for Mac 2007 lasted all of 2 Days on my MacBookPro. My thinking is if Quicken can't get it right, that's pretty sad. It made iBank feel like a Cadillac. So, for now, it's MS Money via Parallels and WinXP. (Version 3.2)
